Casa do Conhecimento da UMinho is a Cultural Unit, formally established within UMinho’s organic structure, with the purpose of deepening the University’s commitment with society, namely through the promotion of a greater presence of the Institution in the territory.<\/p>\n

Through the Houses of Knowledge, established in partnership with local authorities, the network cooperates in the development of cultural and non-formal education and training activities to promote the participation of the civil society in the Information and Knowledge Society. Digital and media literacy are core competences to enable this participation, therefore, one of our main aims is to contribute for the enhancement of digital skills among the citizens of our territories.<\/p>\n
